case study
objective
tabloo began in 2020 as a branded ecosystem of hr applications built with sharepoint, power apps and power automate.
the initial goal was to digitize internal hr workflows through separate but connected tools such as vacations, expenses, business trips, employee journey and vehicle logbook.
in 2024, interest from a major aviation enterprise with 3000+ employees shifted the direction toward enterprise-grade scalability.
this became the catalyst for rebuilding core modules on microsoft dataverse for teams.
process
phase 1 — classic architecture
designed and deployed multiple production-ready hr applications using sharepoint as storage.
implemented approval logic, role-based access and automation using power automate.
focused on usability, rapid iteration and client-specific customization.
phase 2 — dataverse transformation
re-architected expenses and vacations using relational data models in dataverse for teams.
designed reusable, configurable forms allowing dynamic field creation.
implemented scalable multi-level approval workflows.
pushed dataverse for teams to its practical limits in performance and structure.
engineered dynamic calculated field logic enabling structured financial automation without hardcoded formulas.
balanced enterprise complexity within strict platform constraints.
outcome
thousands of active users across multiple organizations.
enterprise-ready expenses and vacations modules capable of supporting high-volume environments.
evolved tabloo from a collection of hr tools into a structured hr automation ecosystem.
laid architectural foundation for further modular expansion.
standout features
migration from sharepoint to dataverse architecture
reusable dynamic form builder logic
multi-level configurable approval flows
dynamic calculated field system
enterprise-ready scalability within dataverse for teams
